One of the best things about living in Kent, Ohio is the access I have to being able to step outside of my door and go somewhere without getting in a car.
This time of year, biking over to Beckwith Orchards to pick up apples and cider is one of my favorite things to do in the fall. The inside of the store always smells of fresh baked pies, cinnamon, and hot apple cider.
I typically do a 9-mile loop on this trail. Sometimes, I go for the full 18-mile loop. There's a sign at the turnaround that simply says, "The begin," near the trail's starting point parking lot, which makes me smile each time I see it.
